Entry & General Policies

Entries

Studios may register their intent to attend by placing a deposit online to secure acceptance at our competition on a first come first serve basis. We do this to avoid the possibility of studios not finding out we have reached capacity until December and there is no more room. We are using an online registration platform.

Registration opens November 1st, 2020

Entry deadline is November 30th, 2020.

Late registrations will be subject to an additional fee per routine and will not be accepted past Jan 1st 2021.

Entries will not be accepted at the competition. Please enter by the deadline date.

Please email meet@dancecitypromotions.ca and we will reply with instructions on how to register your entries online for the 2021 competition season.

Dance City reserves the right to refuse entries.

Independent Entries

Independent entries are not accepted.

Addition of dancers

If the number of dancers in a routine changes from the time of entry to the event you must contact our office to inform us of the changes immediately. We will do our best to accommodate the change if it moves you out of category.

Refund policy

Entry fees are non-refundable. A credit will be issued for solos, duos and trios only, minus a $5 admin fee per entry. They will be issued for medical reasons only. A letter listing the competitor’s name, entries and a doctor’s note must be received by Feb 1st. There are no refunds for cancellation of entries.

Dance City Promotions directors and staff alongside the host hotel

  • Will not be responsible for lost or stolen articles.
  • Will not be responsible for any personal injuries occurring during the competition.
  • Will accept written concerns, which have been signed and submitted to a Dance City director.
  • Male, Female and Gender Neutral change rooms are available as well as a practice room will be provided with a music system. This music system will be Electronic Device compatible.
